The credits earned are equal to the score obtained on the exam. The first 8 credits are introductory level and meet the Foreign Language/World Languages general education requirement. Any additional credits are at the advanced level. All credits are liberal.
For example, a student with a score of 12 earns 8 credits at the introductory-level and 4 credits at the advanced-level.
Verification Procedures
Either official letters or transcripts are acceptable documentation, although the transcripts may have “Noncredit Transcript” stamped on them. If the transcript states that it is for a proficiency exam in a particular language, it is acceptable.
